WHAT IF CHESS HAD POWER CARDS?
Regnum takes the classic rules of chess and completely changes them. In this game, moving your pieces is only half the battle. The other half is managing your hand of cards, which grant you abilities capable of changing the course of the match in an instant.

MAIN FEATURES

• Chess + Cards: Play a classic chess match on a 12x12 board, but be prepared for rule-breaking effects. Convert enemy pieces, swap positions, or neutralize the board entirely.
• Full Multiplayer: Play however and wherever you want.

• Single Player: Although part of the Bot’s code is complete, I underestimated the amount of time required to make one capable of handling cards within the game. That’s why I decided to disable this option for now and spend more time improving it.

• Split Screen: The classic 2-player split-screen mode on a single device.

• LAN Matches: The game can discover and join matches on your local network (may contain bugs due to the complexity of synchronizing two devices).

PROJECT STATUS

This game is an actively developing project. I’m working to add more cards, balance the gameplay, polish the AI, and improve online stability in the future if the project gains support.

Regnum toma las reglas clásicas del ajedrez y las cambia por completo. En este juego, mover tus piezas es solo la mitad de la batalla. La otra mitad es gestionar tu mano de cartas, las cuales te otorgan habilidades capaces de cambiar el rumbo de la partida en un instante.

CARACTERÍSTICAS PRINCIPALES

• Ajedrez + Cartas: Juega un ajedrez clásico en un tablero 12 x 12, pero prepárate para efectos que rompen las reglas. Convierte piezas enemigas, intercambia posiciones o neutraliza el tablero.
• Multijugador Completo: Juega como quieras y donde quieras.
  • Un Jugador: Aunque parte del código del Bot esta completo. Subestimé la cantidad de tiempo que requiere crear uno capaz de manejar las cartas dentro del juego, por eso decidí inhabilitar esta opción y dedicar más tiempo en mejorarlo.
  • Pantalla dividida: El modo clásico de pantalla dividida para 2 jugadores en un dispositivo.
  • Partidas LAN: El juego puede descubrir y unirse a partidas en tu red local (Puede contener errores debido a lo complicado que es trabajar la sincronización entre dos dispositivos).

ESTADO DEL PROYECTO

Este juego es un proyecto en desarrollo activo. Estoy trabajando para añadir más cartas, equilibrar el juego, pulir la IA y mejorar la estabilidad del modo online a futuro si el proyecto tiene apoyo.
